GETTING IN
Please review the information below for our recommended routes of travel to Block Island.

Traveling From:
NEW YORK CITY
We recommend that you drive or train from New York City. If you are able to drive, you have the option of driving to Westerly, Rhode Island and taking a short 15 minute flight to the island, driving to New London, Connecticut and taking the Block Island Express Ferry, or driving to Point Judith, Rhode Island and taking either the Traditional or Hi-speed ferry. If you'll be taking a train, you can choose between taking the Amtrak to Westerly, and either take the plane or Uber to New London, or the Metro North to the Shore Line East to New London where you can take the ferry from there.
OUT OF STATE
We recommend flying into the T. F. Green International Airport outside of Providence, Rhode Island. From the airport, you will need to take a short taxi or Uber ride to Point Judith, Rhode Island, where you can choose the Traditional ferry (55 minutes) or Hi-speed (30 minutes) ferry. Both depart from the same ferry port.
Block Island Taxis:
ARRIVING TO THE ISLAND
Once you arrive to Block Island from the ferry, depending on where you are staying, you will most likely be able to walk to wherever you need to go. However, should you need to take a taxi, you will find plenty of taxis waiting in Old Harbor, immediately in front of the ferries as you disembark from the boat. If you are arriving by airplane or need to call a taxi from any other location on the island, please see the link below for several service options. Please note that most taxis on the island only accept cash.
Cars on Block Island:
MAKING A CAR RESERVATION
It is not necessary, and fairly difficult, to bring a car to Block Island. If you plan to do so, you will need to make round trip reservation on the Point Judith ferry in January of 2021. It is important to know that there is no parking at our Ceremony location and we ask that you do not try to drive and visit the site ahead of time. We have arranged for transportation from Downtown Block Island to our Ceremony, and back again at the end of the night, for all of our guests. Please see our Schedule page for more information.
